Welcome to nightmaregig.com - "Another Nightmare Gig from Hell" - a web site devoted to musicians' stories (good and bad, but mostly, BAD!) of gigs gone wrong.
All musicians - from everyday journeymen/women working in the trenches - to super stars - have at least one to tell: the van breaks down, getting lost, equipment stolen or trashed, the accommodations (if any) are dismal, the crowd hates you, the club owner hates you (and doesn't pay up) - the list is endless.
This is the site to share your "war stories", "fish tales". Cheap therapy, no doubt - but we think you'll recognize yourself in some of these posted stories - and most likely, have better ("I can top that!") ones to share.
MUSICIANS: WE WANT YOUR STORIES!
There are a number of ways to offer up your stories:
1. You can send an email from the Contact Us page.
2. You can attach a Word doc. or any other text file.
3. You can post your story (stories) on The Nightmare Blog.
4. You send in your recorded story on cassette tape, CD or on Video (see mailing address below.)
5. You can send in more than one story - as many as you want.
6. You can change names, locales if you prefer.
FINALLY - We're not looking for perfect prose or anything close. Spelling, grammar, punctuation will all go through an editing process. We're more interested in you sending in your story - in any way, shape or form! Let's see what you got!
